A poll wasn't a bad idea, but you didn't include the choice many of us have been

using: LP. This I think has come about largely for a matter of simplicity, the

letters represent what the designation is, and because the

national trend is to remove EMT from the paramedic designation. That may

explain why the majority of the responses (I know it's too early for a trend

here) have selected " other " . : )

I do agree thought that there should be a consensus; it would behoove a

profession to at least agree on it's designation, and especially since some of

us wear nametags more than patches.
