,

I feel we are all looking for happy answers and should be encouraging.. BUT..

that fibro fairy doesn't pay short visits then go away. Fibromyalgia is a

chronic disease and doesn't let go, How you are now sounds moderately easy

going for the fairy.. I think maybe you will have to learn to build your life

around the fibro. Although I was only diagnosed this year I believe I have had

this for many many years.. I did continue to work then eventually worked less.

Now I can not work. Make the most of the time whilst you can work.

So sorry if this is brutal but I think it is realistic.

Hi Everyone,

I am at work and since I came in this morning I am having a hard time

keeping my eyes open. Fatigue has set in really bad. What do you do

when this happens I swear I could put my head back on my chair and

fall asleep right now. this morning I nodded off a couple of times.

I also have the upper portion of my foot bothering me betweem the big

toe and the one next to it. I has been hurting me for about two -

three weeks now. It feels like I sprained it and do not remember

doing anything to it and today it really hurts.

I hope I am not going into another flare I will scream, I have felt

half way decent for about a week now. Is that fairy coming to my

house next maybe I should go on vacation and she would not know were

to find me.

Well I should go and try to do some work....

1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as

to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr.

Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to

certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.

2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't

be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that

situation better.

Have a nice day everyone.

On Feb 26 I had my surgery performed by Dr in Portland

Maine. In my opinion he did a fine job. I have been pain free since the

surgery (with the exception of actual surgical pain, which is now

gone.) I had no feeling in my left leg before the surgery (since

birth), now full sensation has returned to the leg. I am still fighting

with bowel incontinence. My stools seem loose all the time and as long

as I am near a bathroom after meals I seem to be OK. It really is the

only symptom I still have. Overall I am doing OK, I am hoping this

continues as time goes by. Would be nice if the bowel issue would clear

up but I am not holding my breath.

Dr operated on me five times (and an additional two times for CSF leaks).

I absolutely love Dr. and would have him reoperate on me in a heartbeat

if I needed it. He was smart, compassionate, knowledgable, and went so far

above and beyond for me so many times...

Glad you found him to be a good nsg also.
