Guest guest
I can't remember who the endos were at conf, but it was mentioned that maybe it was ok to giev testosterone to 12 year old () without worrying about the bone plate closure problem...??? I need to discuss this with our doc AGAIN if it is truly ok. He was afraid of the bone thing, his plates look open like there's plenty of time for growing, but he is SO scrawny. Could testosterone help behavior or is it just going to make him more aggressive? He is prone to tantrums, not cooperating, etc. and is on Anafranil and a small amount of Adderall (just reduced as started tic-ing) if anyone knows a lot about this, or if an endo that knows about charge is listening, please respond. Or the lady doctor from New Zealand (sorry forgot name, I'm tired), who knows about adolescence? Oh yeah, Kim Blake--she seemed so great. Anybody? THANKS! Guest guest
Barbra, Hi, Vicki mom to (23) here. I don't know if this will help or not but was started on testosterone around the age of 15 or 16. At the time he was started our endo said that it was important for to be started at a dose for his size rather then his age. His concerns were also bone plate closure. He started on a very low dose and explained that it was about the same as a 11 or12 year old boy would produce naturally. 's doses were increased once a year by very small doses. He is presently receiving 200 cc a month and has been kept at this dose for over 2 years now. was only 4' 10 " when they started shots and is now 5' 71/2 " . Hope this information helped.
