My husband is addicted to Excedrin. I use to try to make him stop

taking them because of the liver issues but he won't listen to me. He

takes about 9 Excedrins a day. I have known him for 7 years and

married for 5. He has taken and abused Excedrins this whole time.

When we first married I made him go to the doctor because he said it

was headaches he was treating with Excedrin. That doctor said it was

OK for him to take them!! He gets all freaky if he runs out of

Excedrins. Not too long ago, he had a HUGE wart cut off of his leg,

Imean, that thing was huge...it took me 4 years to get him to have

that nasty ugly thing removed, I mean that thing was huge, ugly and

gross..I made him wear a BIG band aid if he got near me!! I use to

have to scrub the tub out big time because I was afraid of catching

his nasty wart virus germs!! Well, the dummy went to work after

having that wart removed and cut down into his knee. The next morning

he comes home and he had nasty greasy work rags and plastic trash

bags around his knee under his pants trying to stop the bleeding. He

had blood all over him! I asked him, what the heck? He did not want

to lose over time by leaving work so he tried to hid his blood and

bleeding from co-workers who would had freaked out had they known, it

was streaming down his leg into his boots...his boots were soaked of

blood inside!...he was close to passing out! he looked like he had

been shot several times!!!! I called his doctor, even though he told

me not to. I had to sneak in the other room to call. Nurse talked to

my husband and said for him to come in ASAP. Husband yelled at me but

that's OK..he can yell. I took him to the doctor and he said my

husband lost way too much blood...they could not understand why. I

told the nurse it was because of those Excedrins he was addicted to!!

She said my husband told them he did not take anything!! I flat told

on him and they even tried to tell him not to take Excedrins but he

still won't listen!

Here is what amazes me about my husband, he lived in the mold house

and it did not hurt him. He abuses his body big time in so many

ways. He never had any issues from the mold as I did. He rarely

gets sick, well, except for headaches caused from his Excedrin

addiction. Why is it some people tend to have a body of steel and

then there are us who are so wimpy to the point that a normal odor

can cause us much breathing distress??? As far as Tylenol, I can't

even take one because my heart starts pounding and I start shaking

all over!!! What makes us sensitive people so different???

Talking about people not believing us about our illness, my husband

always tells me it would been hard for him to had believed me had he

not lived with me and seen how I can suddenly fall ill without

notice. He hears my coughing, wheezing and etc..he knows my stomach

is a mess...he notices I may look better one day and not so good the

next...he has seen me go through multiple infections and losing my

back teeth... and all of the symptoms....there were times when we

were in the mold house I would sleep 21 hours a day and he would have

a hard time waking me. He use to come home from work in the middle of

the day to make sure I was still alive. One thing, he had a hard time

understanding was how smells hurt me. Back in the early spring, he

caught the flu. Smells bothered him during that time. Now he says he

understands how much sicker I can get from odors so he is more

careful with items that give off odor. I guess it is because when he

asked what I felt when I was sick awhile back, I told him it was like

having a constant flu or virus!
