Guest guest
Hi All, we have to get out of here. We are poor, we left everything behind 1.5 years ago to move to another house. The house we are in now, the central air does not work, and we complained about it so much last year, the landlord said he'd done all he was going to do, and he would not renew our lease. We have a choice, spend what we have to get into another potentially moldy place, and live in a community that is so full of mold, nearly every business is infested. Our daughter has now developed almost daily nose bleeds, my joints are beginning to hurt, we found a nice place in New Mexico that we might be able to rent, so we are packing our van of 194,000+ miles, and our almost $1000, and a tent and we are camping our way to NM. The following is a letter we are sending out to our blogs, myspace, etc. We will be offline as of some time tomorrow, I don't know when our last connection will be. It is NM or bust for us, it is a painful and long thought out process, but the longer we stay here, even living in a clean home, the sicker we all get. This town has an epidemic of Asthma, Bronchitis, Fibromyalgia, ... You know the list, but of course no one believes us. Here is our final letter until we get connected again. Thank you all for being here and being understanding of what mold can do to you, but I have to protect my family, even if it means walking away from everything. Our letter: To all of our Internet family, I am writting this with a very sad heart. We filled out an app., for an apartment the other day, the last one that we could find that was available around here. Today the security guard, (former manager now retired), and my hubby ran into one another at Wal-Mart and he told my hubby that we would be getting ourselves in a fix moving into the apartment we looked at, because there had been mold at one point, and they had been battling it since! When we looked I kept having an issue with my vocal cords hurting for some time after we left, as well as sinus draining, and a headache. I passed it off as being from the first apartment we had looked at just before that one. Anyway, the manager is a good God fearing man, and he told my hubby that with all the allergies our family has, and how much mold there is here in Shelbyville, and how sick we all are, that we should pack up our vehicle and head to New Mexico. We originally wanted to go to New Mexico, but questioined getting there and running into the same problem, but with the drier desert climate, even though mold exists, it is not in the abundance it is here and many people with environmental illnesses find refuge there. We spoke to one woman on the phone who lives there and she told us there are natural hot mineral spa's there that soaking in them has greatly increased the detoxification process for her. We have been in constant Prayer the past few months while we've been looking for a place to move, and the Praying has increased greatly over the last few weeks. We firmly believe that God places people and situations in our lives in order to do His work, and everything is for one reason or another. We have gone through a lot of pain and suffering the past few years, but we have gained great knowledge in that time because of our pain and suffering. We are now a book of knowledge on molds, allergens, and all sorts of toxins that damage our bodies. It's some seriously scary stuff and we feel God wants us to teach others what we have learned. There are perhaps millions of people suffering from mystery symptoms and illnesses who's doctors can not seem to pinpoint or remedy, who may very well be suffering from the mycotoxins of invisible airborne mold agents called mold spores which bear with them biotoxins. So we feel it is now our ministry to educate others and help save others from what we have been through. That is a situation God has placed in our lives to help Him do His work, saving others from the pain and suffering we have been through for so many years, and continue to suffer with. We are a testiment to all of how serious and dangerous the mold problem has become in our Country. Now God has placed a gentleman in our lives, the security guard mentioned above who, when my hubby told him how we were needing to get out of the mold and wanted to go West, he says, " get in your car and go, even if you only get half way there, at least your half way and you can find work and get the car fixed and keep on going " ! Now why would someone say that? He also pointed out that if we rented the place, we would be out our money and when the mold started taking a toll and run us off, there would be fines and penalties for breaking the lease, and what little money we have would be gone and we would be in debt for the lease. That on top of the fact that myself, hubby, and our handicapped son all have knee problems, (one of the many joint pains caused by mycotoxins), and this apartment is on the second floor! Then on top of all this, last night we received an e-mail from a realtor in New Mexico about a house I found on-line, and it sounds like we may be able to rent it! It is an awsome looking house, with no carpet, (allergen sponge), virtually no walls, (walls trap air circulation which can lead to mold activity), it is one huge room that can be partitioned into smaller rooms. There is one bedroom off that room that our daughter would get, and two bathrooms. There is an area for our much needed veggie garden and to grow our gourds. And the house has irrigation rights! The house would be perfect for us and our allergies. I find it more than a coincidence that we received this e-mail last night, and today God sends a man to tell us " get in your car and go to where your family can heal " ! Anyway, this is much longer than I had meant it to be, I really just wanted to tell everyone that we would not be on-line for awhile and ask everyone to please keep our family in your Prayers each day. We will try to get on-line at a WI-FI somewhere and will post updates as we can. Thank you all for all your Prayers and love. God Bless you all, Carmella, Dan and family P.S. We received our copy of " Mold Warriors " , yesterday, and guess what? We aren't crazy, LOL
