Guest guest
I was wondering how many of the mold-exposed members here have been given a disgnosis of vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels). Of course the treatment (steroids) is just as damaging to the body as the condition. I would like to hear from anyone who has been given this diagnosis and what kind of treatment helps with it. Thanks in advance- Diane
Guest guest
I was diagnosed with vasculitis by doctor reading a theroscan of my body..something new and not FDA approved medical diagnostic tool, but that means nada to me. Doctor is suggesting detoxing for me as first step with sauna since he thinks it could be from toxic lead exposure I had, and also lead chelating. He said it can be mold toxins also but recommends detoxing for that also as first step. I have read independently that HBOT is good for that and I plan to try a treatment series for some time soon. However I am waiting a bit since I believe I have had liver trouble so I don't want to do any treatments that kill microbes as I doubt my liver could handle the toxins that would result. Trying low sugar diet, starving fungus of food, chelating for lead...done and need to recheck my lead levels to see if I need to do more. > > I was wondering how many of the mold-exposed members here have been > given a disgnosis of vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels). Guest guest
Incidentally I believe vasculitis is causing my migraines. I have sleep apnea also but it is mild and migraines are severe and frequent. My sleep doctor also says that taking sedatives at night, which I do, can cause sleep apnea since it relaxes your muscles so much, so it's possible if I could manage to sleep without Rx help that my apnea would go away, and I've noticed the cleaner air is in my home/bedroom, the better I sleep so perhaps allergies or my reved up immune system is contributing to poor sleep...? However since my apnea is mild and migraies severe, I believe it is vasculitis I have been diagnosed with causing migraines. It also affects my heart, giving me heart heaviness, probably also due to causing a low oxygen state in heart. I'm seem to be hypoxia in many ways and oxygen seems to make me feel better in many ways. Also I have to get a little exercise every day to feel okay. If I sit all day, I will get a migraine. In fact when I feel one coming on, first thing I do is to get moving. > > I was wondering how many of the mold-exposed members here have been > given a disgnosis of vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels). Guest guest
Correction: " thermoscan " , not theroscan that I wrote below. > > I was diagnosed with vasculitis by doctor reading a theroscan
Guest guest
Hi Diane, I haven't been diagnosed with it but yes, I have vascular problems. during exposure I someyimes had tiny red dots on my eyelids along with puffiness and had a few bigger ones on my legs. small and large cell. when I asked to be tested for it the doctor told me he doughted if I had it anymore if I did have it and basically refused to talk about it. another eye doctor did about the same when I told him I thought I had it and asked if it could have anything to do with my eyes. I didn't know steriods was the treatment, is that the only treatment? do you have MCS? just wondering because I like to hear from someone else that has it as I'm felling pretty sure that the felling I get with a hit of my blood rushing through my viens and how it zaps me of energy is the oxidative stress reaction.the worse the effect is the more drained I get so I fell Martain Pall's theory is right on the mark on this. what this ONOO effect dose to our blood and organs, caused by our exposure to molds/myco's and whatever other toxins in our invironment doesn't go away if you have mcs,cfs and fm. I think his book will be very good. and I think his theory is getting pretty well accepted because you can pick any one of the symptoms we have and put it is a search with oxidative stress and bring up info. and he has linked molds/myco's and chemical exposure to this effect. just my personal thoughts. heres one of his links if your interested. http://phoenix-cfs.org/NO%20ONOO%20Theory%20Treatment%20Pall%2006.htm I think a vascular, oxidative stress search will bring up some other links. for more on martin pall theory put onoo, martin pall in your search. some doctors want to put this all off on phycological stress so beware. but you know ,if this was the only cause we wouldn'y all be here sick from exposure to a sick building. .. > > I was wondering how many of the mold-exposed members here have been > given a disgnosis of vasculitis (inflammation of blood vessels). Guest guest
Is vasculitis similar to atherosclerosis? Because if you do a Google or PubMed search on ' atherosclerosis mycotoxin ' you get a LOT of hits.
Guest guest
Arginine supplementation in the diet seems to help with overall circulation noticably. Just a few grams a day. But it tastes terrible so you need to put it in orange juice. To make it affordable, you have to buy it by the kilo from those bodybuilding supp. companies. If you shop around, you can find it for around $40 a kilo. It is very good for people with many forms of heart disease so it might be good for people with mold illnesses. Ask your doctor! Guest guest
This is from Winipedia or whatever that is called. I know it is not the best source but usually have the main facts right: Atherosclerosis is a disease affecting the arterial blood vessel. It is a chronic inflammatory response in the walls of arteries, in large part to the deposition of lipoproteins (plasma proteins that carry cholesterol and triglycerides). I didn't know atherosclerosis involved inflamation of vessels, but they are 'arterial' blood vessels and caused by plaque build up. I don't know why this caused inflamation. Perhaps just prevents the vessel from functioning normally or irritates the lining of arteries. Then again it says plaque involves a particular protein and protein substances in the wrong places may cause autoimmune response by body, immune system thinking the protein is an invading substance that must be killed. Of course this kind of plaque is dangerous to health so immune system is not that far off if attacking it. Vasculitis involves any blood vessel, including tiny ones, and inflamation is not caused by plaque but by infection. However toxins circulating like toxic metals or mycotoxins can cause irritation or damage to blood vessels and cause inflamation, maybe by damage that then attracts infection or perhaps all by themselves. I believe that any time tissue is damaged, infection always comes, so I would suspect a toxin causing damage to blood vessel wall and then infection can set in there but perhaps there can be tissue damage done by toxins and inflamation without infection. I don't know. I don't have high blood pressure, or hardening of arteries but have vasculitus according to doctor. Vasculitis could affect any part of your body, for example my blurry vision could be caused by vasculitis and I believe it is, but atherosclerosis I believe only affects the heart, or anything area of your body affected by your large main arteries. Anyway, that is my understanding. I don't really know that much about atherosclerosis. --- In , LiveSimply <quackadillian@...> wrote: > > Is vasculitis similar to atherosclerosis? >
Guest guest
I dont have high blood pressure either thats why I said I have vascular problems and now that I think about it this is may be why the doctors would not look into it because thats the first thing they do is test your bp. if its low when theres no environmental stimuli is affecting you maybe just being in a doctors office with plenty of stimulaters around is enough to raise it to around normal. I meant to test this theory but forgot. ps. do you think those tiny little red dots on my eye lids were a result of oxidative stress(also refered to as lack of oxygen) from toxin exposure which caused the tiny blood vessels in that area to leak? > > This is from Winipedia or whatever that is called. Guest guest
Live, I've came across a few studies that made me kind of nervous about trying this. and because my blood fells like its rushing way to quick when somethings getting to me I dont know if this would be a good thing for me to try. --- In , LiveSimply <quackadillian@...> wrote: > > Arginine supplementation in the diet seems to help with overall > circulation noticably. > > Just a few grams a day. Guest guest
Do you think the red dots come from something going on below the skin or could it be skin irritation from something in air. I have alot of trouble with my skin TOO. I'm irritated by everything now. I have someone I pay by the hour to help me around house and in yard. When I go outside I don't even touch plants. I point to them from afar!! I helped out one day for about 20 minutes and had work gloves on and was itching all weeks on my forearms. I scrub them to death now with poison ivy soap and also very fatty soap when I come in from outdoors to wash off any plant oils. My body has become sensitive to many things, both inside my body and outside...food allergies have gotten worse and skin allergies seem to be worse. However since I moved many more serious symptoms have disappeared like terrible shooting pain I was having up left leg, and other good signs, so I am a mixed picture, some good news, some bad. I don't know what red spots on eye lids would be. Wash your eyelids with baby shampoo like was described here. I do that every day now. > > I dont have high blood pressure either thats why I said I have > vascular problems and now that I think about it this is may be why > the doctors would
Guest guest
It seems like so many of these things that are mentioned as helping are amino acids, that if you can't try these individually, you might at least be sure you get good quality source of meat daily. I know it may not be the same but you get ALL the amino acids in meat, just not in high doses. > > Live, I've came across a few studies that made me kind of nervous about > trying this. and because my blood fells like its rushing way to quick

Guest guest
VASCULITIS IS INFLAMMATION OF THE VESSEL WALLS, AS I UNDERSTAND IT. ATHEROSCLEROSIS IS " HARDENING OF THE ARTERIES " FROM PLAQUE. V.
