Guest guest
To all, On the 9th of May we set out on a journey to find a new home free of mold, or at least an area of the country as free of mold as possible. On June 11 we found our home, at least for a year, and we call it Walsenburg Colorado. For those of you unfamiliar with the area, it is about 50 miles north of the New Mexico/Colorado border on I-25, right on the border of the mountains and the plains. The story of our journey, the mold we found along the way, what we learned of travelling expenses, and why we chose Colorado over New Mexico and Arizona will all be documented in a very long, nearly day by day journey on one of our web sites, and with everyones and KC's permission, when we get the story done we will gladly post a link. Not for the purpose of promoting any web site, but the story is long and complete with pictures. BTW, everyone is feeling better already, we did get hit with mold in a few motels, although for the most part we did not stay in motels due to the expense. Like most of you out there, we have no finances behind us and made our journey in a van with 194000 miles at the beginning of the journey and it now has 197000+ miles. Our internet connection has just been turned on in our new location, so we will have time to work, and hopefully will be able to get the story done within the next couple days. We would like to thank everyone for their prayers, support, and interest in our journey, and hopefully from our experiences others who are faced with this dilema will be able to glean some knowledge to make the move to another area smoother than ours was. Will be in touch soon, Dan & Carmella Dunkin
Guest guest
For whatever it's worth. " Fumigation " or other methods of killing mold is critical in a hospital because they are not trying to prevent allergic or other types of reactions (the dead vs live mold issue). They are preventing infections. If the mold (or bacteria) is dead, it can't infect (grow inside the body). Also, there are considerations about the uses of chlorine dioxide besides its efficacy, such as it corrosive effects on materials and contents. I hope those precautions are being made. Also, for whatever it's worth, one of the principals of Saber is Rudy Giuliani. " Sabre Technical Services, a part of BioONE Solutions LLC, which is an affiliate of Giuliani Partners LLC " according to: http://www.bioone.com/2005_1114.htm Carl Grimes Healthy Habitats LLC ----- > who: your welcome. I found it an interesting article. Hope they follow up after the fumigation.
