Guest guest
After all of what we have heard, I would be very skeptical of any claims made on that show.. Guest guest
Barb, blue board has been around awhile, ir's used in bathrooms alot and is water proof on the surface, supposedly. I dont know how well it resists mold or what the sealer coat is. > > ...using something called 'blue board', wonder if that means dipped in > some kind of antimicrobial encapsulant. Guest guest
I got a bid on putting new insulation in my attic of which one was cellulose with boric acid in it. Other type of fiberglass. Fiberglass is a carcinogen so I can't find a good choice for insulation. They appear to all be hazzardous to one's health. Cellulose would not be a health hazzard UNLESS it got moldy, which seems to big a chance. With boric acid in it, perhaps in small quantities, boric acid might be okay, but I think if something kills small things right away, they may not kill big animals/people but figure it must not be good to inhale. Of course I plan to have attic sealed up as well as possible, but things become " unsealed " over time I'm sure. --- In , LiveSimply <quackadillian@...> wrote: > > I'm pretty sure the blue board stuff uses a form of boric acid so its > probably substantially less toxic than the copper/chromium/arsenic/etc. type > treated woods.. >
