Guest guest
Re: HANDLE Institute] Hi Barbara: They are doing Handle workshops across the U.S. I believe. RE: glasses What is the eye condition...coloboma? If so, where? Visual correction for reading and for distance are two distinct things. Are the glasses bifocal? (ie. a different perscription for the center of the glass for close up vision) Remember that the cranial nerves also lead to the muscles that control aspects of eye movement. That is why some individuals with CHARGE have some problems with visual tracking, eye contact, etc. That is why some opthomologist have a hard time sometimes deciding on the visual functioning with the individuals with CHARGE? I've seen them also miss coloboma's (as well as GP's...but thats a whole other topic.) There are more " out there " books you may want to look into for eye exercises and philosophies. Some you may have to search for in Natural Health type stores: " Kaplan, -Micheael. The Power Behind Your Eyes: Improving Your Eyesight Through Integrated Vision Terapy. Inner Traditions; 1995. Liberman, . Light, Medicine of the Future. Bear and Company; Leviton, . Seven Steps to Better Vision. East West/Natural Health Books; Creating Your Personal Vision by Sam Berne, Colourstone Press; Corbett, Margaret Darst. Help Yourself to Better Sight, Wilshire Book Company, California (phone ) Huxley, Aldous. The Art of Seeing. 1982 Creative Book Company, California. ISBN 0-916870-48-0, library # 820126 P.S.
