Guest guest
Does anyone have food allergies? I seem to get developing food allergies. Blood testing showed allergies several years ago to certain foods but I hadn't recognised any symtoms unless they were causing me indigestion which I sometimes had, but now I'm getting symptoms, mouth blisters to certain foods. I did develope mouth blisters after putting my lips up against mango skin while eating mango a year ago and doctor said there is an allergy called 'mango allergy' and the allergy is caused by a protein in the skin of mango. He said I may be able to tolerate it without the skin. I wasn't too surprised since I have developed many allergies, but my understanding is food triggers allergies to protein substances that it misinterprets as a foreign invader of your system, i.e. virus or something. However a month ago I got mouth blisters after eating watermelon!! I couldn't imagine why a person would be allergic to watermelon. Now today I had a coconut popcycle (actually 2) and developed mouth blisters. There IS some protein in coconut but I don't think much. I can't believe I'm developing something 'new'. When will it end??? I'm already practically allergic to everything outside!
