This is completely ridiculous! I don't understand why they target

our supplements so heavily but they give the tobacco companies free

rein to sell cigarettes (no prescription needed) that they know are

drugs with extremely adverse health effects. Yet, we are supposed

to get a prescription for a multivitamin, B12, calcium or vit C?

Disgusting. Funny how the chemicals created by pharmecuetical

companies to treat anemia are actually dangerous to the consumer but

B vitamins treating the same condition are safe even in high doses

as well as cheap and do not deeply pad the pockets of a middleman.

It's hard enough to afford the supplements you need without adding a

couple of other layers to increase the cost of the supplements along

with the added cost of paying the doctor/gatekeeper in order to get

them. Please raise you hand if your calcium supplement also serves

as a narcotic. No one? Didn't think so. Back off FDA. Grrrr!

Even if the rule goes into effect, Congress can pass a law

overturning it at any time, so it's still very much worth contacting your

representatives in Washington.

The legislative power was granted to Congress in the Constitution, not the
