Guest guest
There need to be much more specific and hard hitting laws when it comes to preventing mold insides of walls and preventing landlords retaliating against tenants for complaining. Far too often tenants are evicted for complaining and then if they have lost their job they can't rent another apartment and they end up homeless of being forced to stay with friends or relatives. Landlords should not be able to blame mold problems from flooding and leaky pipes etc. on tenants as those issues are caused by lack of maintenance and often predate the tenancy. Guest guest
Every guild to mold removal that I have seen says bleach should be used on things like wood, and EMPHATICALLY then rinsed off with clean water. It should not be sprayed, it should be used on rags with soap and water and scrubbing. That is on structural members - wood which is usually insides of walls.. Not on that parts that people inside of their apartments can see. Bleach is highly caustic and can damage the lungs. It should not be used around children. And it should not be used on gypsum board, i.e. sheetrock. Contaminated sheetrock should be torn out and replaced. Sheetrock that is colonized by mold needs to be removed and replaced. No guide I have ever seen recommends spraying sheetrock with bleach. Sheetrock needs to be replaced.
