Guest guest
It isn't just oxidative stress that leads to brain damage.. This is new. Guest guest
superoxide and NO produce (ONOO)oxidative stress biology and superoxide: heywords SOD , ONOO,(martin pall) super ocide is very toxic and is deployed by our immune systems to kill invadeing microorganisms and phagocytes. we know that mycotoxin exposure causes excessive nitric oxide production(iNOS). superoxide reacts to nitric oxide produceing ONOO.as such, superoxide is the main cause of oxidative stress.if the mitochondrail variant of SOD is inactivated and suffers from multiple pathologies, including reduced life span, liver cancer, muscle atrophy, cataracts and female infertility http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superoxide peroxvnitrate(ONOO) may contribute to the pathogenesis of cardiac allograft rejection http://ejcts.ctsnetjournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/26/2/276 its well documented that L-NMMA suppresses overproduction of NO showing beneficial effects in various disease models includeing biral infections, sepic shock and bacterial meningitis. peroxvnitrate(ONOO) a product between nitric oxide and superoxide anion plays a big role in development of post-bypass systemic inflammatory responce. ONOO is a potent oxident formed by a rapid reaction between NO and superoxide anion. http://ejcts.ctsnetjournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/26/2/276 > > migranes cause brain damage > http://members.tripod.com/mueller_ranges/links/compendium/migraine.htm l# > mini_strokes) > > oxidative dtress leads to migranes > http://members.tripod.com/mueller_ranges/links/compendium/migraine.htm l# > oxidative_stress) >
Guest guest
Live, sounds like they are refering in part to ONOO. I heard on the news that a study found that severe headackes, migranes are now knowm to possibly be causeing brain damage. just cought the tail end but hrated them say the migranes caused the oxidative stress and jnew it was the other way around. I didn't spend alot of time loojing for what they might have been citeing from or maybe thay misunderstood what they read.I get a little aggervated when they state things as fact without looking into it more because thats what the public hears. and I dont believe I said that that oxidative stress was the only thing involved in brain damage. > > It isn't just oxidative stress that leads to brain damage.. > > This is new. > > Adult Hippocampal Neural Stem-Progenitor Cells in vitro are Vulnerable > to the Mycotoxin Ochratoxin-A > > http://toxsci.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/kfm093v1 >
