By: Berkeley Lab Published: May 25, 2007 at 06:53 " Scientific studies show that mold in the walls and ceiling of homes substantially raises the risk of a asthma and other respiratory problems and adds $3.5 billion to the annual national health bill.... " But wait a minute. I thought the US Chamber of Commerce told us all these mold illnesses were just a result of trial lawyers, media hype and junk science? Gee, wonder where they got their misinformation and why they promoted it to the real estate, insurance, mortgage and building industries without thoroughly checking it out? And wonder who has made and saved a ton of money promoting this misinformation while the sick, when at their weakest and in the most need of help, have been unable to obtain viable medical treatment and have been virtually shunned as lepors? I am of the opinion that the lies that have been allowed to occur over the mold issue, while many a good man stood by and did nothing, should go down as one of the lowest moral points in the history of the United States. I am so thankful to the members of these chat board who have helped tremendously in getting the truth of the matter out.
