Guest guest Posted June 26, 2007 Report Share Posted June 26, 2007 CIAQ: Federal Interagency Committee on Indoor Air Quality Interagency Committee on Indoor Air Quality The Federal Interagency Committee on Indoor Air Quality (CIAQ) was established by Congress in 1983. The mission of the CIAQ is to coordinate Federal Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) research, and facilitate the exchange of information among Federal agencies, state & local governments, the research community, the private sector and general public. The CIAQ also supports the EPA IAQ research program required by Section 403 of the 1986 Superfund Amendments and Re-authorization Act (SARA). The CIAQ is co-chaired by EPA, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the Department of Energy (DOE), the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Other Federal Departments and Agencies participate as members. The CIAQ meets tri-annually in February, June and October. CIAQ meetings are open to the public. Meeting minutes, handouts and presentations are posted soon after each meeting (see Meeting Schedule and Meeting Minutes http://www.epa.gov/iaq/ciaq/meetingschedule.html).
