Guest guest
I just recently reposted the terms and conditions of this group and there is one thing I will not tolerate,no exceptions, and that is the harassment of one member to another through back channels. This has happened recently and in the past, and if it continues those who are participating will be removed. This issue that we are dealing with is not a simplistic one to handle, since we are all dealing with many variables. I don't remember at any time, anywhere on this board, where someone said, one size fits all. I think we all know better than that. I wish that was the case. I don't want anyone to feel that they will be harassed because they are doing someone's protocol other than the one that is mentioned on this board quite frequently. I don't want you to hesitate about responding to someone's questions or concerns or the results that they are experiencing, negative or positive on their physicians treatments. The more input from members the better. I would love to hear more from others who are seeing other physicians how their protocols are or are not working. There are several good doctors that many of us are aware of, without mentioning their names. Do any of them claim to have the cure, of course not, and the ones that claim that they do, I would really be suspicious of right now. As far as I am aware of, all they can do is inform and educate us to prevent further exposure and damage to our immune systems. They can stop the progression of many of the effects from mold/mycotoxins, but they can not heal or repair damaged organs. We will recover to a point, but new treatment is continously being worked on. Science is changing daily along with diagnosing and treatment, which tends to be very expensive to get this information out in the medical community. All we can do is hope that some day soon that there will be new medications available to us. We can not bash members or their physicians because they are willing to try new medications, even though we may not agree with it. We are not the doctor or the patient and one of the medications that is being used today, of course not what the FDA recommended it for, just happened to be accidently stumbled upon and found to work for the elimination of these toxins. This goes to show the same thing could happen again with any patient or physician. I salute ANY doctor that is willing to acknowledge this condition and willing to listen to their patients, and physicians that have been in the field for many years. We all have our days and many times our stress and anger levels are elevated because of the way we feel and the lack of. Many times we've had to bite our tongues one time or another for good reason. None of us have all the answers and I don't know of anyone that does. There are many that are real close to putting all the pieces together though. Let's remember that this is a support group to help guide one another, offer suggestions, opinions and relate our experiences. There are two ways to answer a post, professionally and unprofessionally. Let's not forget the many new members that are continously joining this board and the frame of mind they may be in, of just not knowing and why am I feeling like this, or why are my kids so sick. For many of us that have been here for many years we still can relate to the changes and effects that it has had on our lives. I remember where I came from, and what I went through in the beginning of just not knowing what was causing my wife's condition. For those of you that don't know me or my story, I was not exposed, my wife was at her place of employment. I often wonder what would be worse if there even is a comparison, I guess spouces, family or friends could only understand where I am coming from. As horrible that this condition is and the pain that you all relate to, the symptoms and the illnesses that you have experienced, I often questioned what would have been best if I was in the same boat, instead of watching a spouce or a loved one age and deteriate right before your eyes. No one needs to answer to this statement, but either way, it is not easy. The least we can do is be there for one another with complete understanding and compassion and support when needed. I must tip my cap to some of those spouces, friends and family that haven't gotten up and ran and deserted you in your time of need. Let's just remember what we are here for, because like myself without this board, your help and the help of many other professionals and advocates, I really don't know where I would be today. Be kind. Keep a positive attitude and a good sense of humor. KC, Owner
Guest guest
I couldn't agree with you more, KC! This forum has done more for my physical and mental health situation than any one doctor could ever dream of doing. I don't have the time or energy to waste it on others' dissatisfactions and backbitings. Since there are people out there, apparently, that have the time and energy to do such backbiting, maybe they should think about what their own true motives are and be grateful they have been given life as a human being. You see, if our motives are self-serving, we have no business getting involved in a discussion list that deals with " serving " others. So do so in a healthy, non-provoking way. It is apparent you need to resolve your anger. If you need the phone number of an expert in anger resolution, let me know and I will give you his contact information. I will pray for your complete healing.
