Guest guest
Okay, now I am investigating these organic mattresses. Every site I go to talks about natural latex. Hmmmm, guess I need to learn what that means. I do know at one of our schools it is latex free because of allergies. Doesn't it smell? Every site says it doesn't and it is all natural. So, they must mean something I need to learn about. Anybody know what the heck natural latex means or know about it? Here's one of the many sites that talk about it: http://sleepbynature.com/latex.htm [] Topic Change-mattresses/bedding Have any of you tried the organic mattresses? They had them on Ophra a few weeks ago when she was having a " Green " show. They look like a normal mattress (pillow top or normal) different sizes. Guest guest
Here's a site that talks about it. Guess it is different from regular latex. Never heard of it though. Pretty interesting. http://www.ecobedroom.com/1/beds/latex.html Re: [] Topic Change-mattresses/bedding Okay, now I am investigating these organic mattresses. Guest guest
I love an all latex mattress. There are extremely comfortable but it has a protein in it that some people are allergic too. I don't know where latex comes from though. > > Okay, now I am investigating these organic mattresses. Every site I go to talks about natural latex. Hmmmm, guess I need to learn what that means. Guest guest
Branislav, You can also buy just any inexpensive mattress and buy plastic zippered encasing for it that is sold for people with allergies. That will protect it, then just throw the plastic encasing away if you move it to a less toxic place, but still ...don't sleep anywhere toxic... You can buy plastic encasing for mattress over the internet and also at most department stores and discount stores. Get the kind that encases the entire mattress. They sell just toppers also. Guest guest
Latex is soooo comfortable. I have some friends who have had one for many years and my neighbor sells them. I'd like to have one BUT now I love my air bed and it's so cheap. You can get an airbed standard size mattress that standard sheets will fit and you can use them in platform beds. > > Okay, > I've done some investigation on Natural Latex. Yes Barb is correct about people being sensitive to the protein in the latex.
