Like this group, very open and supportive folks. In that group, under old messages is lots of information on CS. I have only been taking CS in large amounts since September, so I am still learning. What I have learned, and I believe it to be true, is that CS kills single cell pathogens within the body. " Die-off " if I can explain it correctly, is the candida and other pathogens being killed off. These toxins die off within the body, and it feels like the flu (achy muscles, diarrhea, etc.) CS does not build up in the body--it is quickly eliminated, much like Vitamin C. Some also mention that CS is an anti-inflamatory, my body pains have significantly reduced, but whether due to anti- inflamation or the candida being killed off, I can't say. To give you a few ideas, my local health food store sales it for $7 an ounce. (Last winter I bought it in small amounts to fight colds and flu and was impressed, and then learned I could make it at home). I made my own generator for around $50, (you need a DC current generator, 99.999% silver wire or silver ingot, the wires to connect the generator to the silver and Distilled Water [i use Walmart's @ 58 cents a gallon]). I drink 1 to 2 liters a day of CS and it has really helped me with destroying the Candida, with my symptoms getting less troublesome. I spray CS into my nostrils for sinus problems--I was living on Benadryl & Tylenol's Severe Congestion but not had any of those meds for a month now with fewer sinus problems and NO sinus headaches. My wife put CS on her latest cold sore and it healed faster than with the usual meds. CS is a miracle for burns, cuts, etc. (Now instead of asking for band-aids when they get hurt, my kids ask me to spray CS on their owies). My best friend had sinus trougle for years, slowly got worse. She had some type of sinus surgery 7 or 8 yrs. ago. They botched the surgery ans messed up a gland in her eye. Another surgery to correct the eye. She then had a third sinus surgery but never got well. She even went to the Mayo Clinic and got expiramental nasal flushes to use indefinitly. These never really worked. She found a Dr. in New Mexico who finally correctly diagnosed her. By this time she systemic fungal through her body. Lots of Diflucan, Nystatin etc... but could not get rid of it. She does the vitiams and no sugar diet. This helps some, but she still suffers. She doesn't have a PC so I am trying to find out all I can. I've printed some of you folks e-mails, so she knows she isn't alone in this. Most Drs. pass it off as if they think it is all in her head. It's like the docs and FDA don't want to acknowledge it. I know she is not crazy. I am a psychiatric nurse and we worked together for many years. We both know this is NOT a mental illness. She got to where she didn't want to live any more! It really got bad, but she wants to see grandson's grow up. They are teens now. This keeps her going. Basically all antifungals (even so called natural antifungals like raw garlic)..will take out some (usaually/hopefully a relatively small amount)benificial bacteria along with the bad stuff. The difference between antifungals is the degree .. & Colloidal silver is reckoned by many researchers to be the worst in this regard ...ie its somewhat like scorched earth treatment, ...like taking a flame thrower to your gut ...Yes it will definitely wipe the bad guys out & it will do a great job ...but unfortunately it also wipes a lot of the good guys too ... & because the bad guy bacteria & thier buddies bounce back faster in a scorched earth enviroment than the good guys...you can often end up worse off after a long bout of colloidal silver than before you started. I see a natural orientated GP/Doctor (equiv to USA MD) in Australia ...he recommends many antifungals for patients like myself inc H2O2 injections/treatment, Caprylic acid , Diflucan (in extreme cases), oil of oregano etc...but Colloidal silver is 1 antifungal he reccomends against for the reasons I have stated above... Actually that's true only in one condition - that is if the colloidal silver is made with large particles, i.e. the old-fashioned powdered silver stirred into water like they made it in the 1920's. Modern electrocolloidal silver is about 90% ionic and 10% extremely small particals, hundreds of times smaller than powdered silver. These ionic-sized units are very quickly absorbed into the bloodstream and do not wipe out bowel flora, either bad or good. Upper intestine perhaps, but there aren't supposed to be bacteria there anyway so that is a good thing. I too have been dealing with this for 4 years...diagnosed manic depressive then...... Not until earlier in the year did I finally start thinking that perhaps these doctor's were wrong...that maybe this is not what I have... Although it has been extremely difficult and frightening...I began to research my symptoms and found this site... You are so right that the doc's and FDA do not acknowledge the illness... Simply put as soon as I mentioned the possibility of attributing the illness to candida, they ignored it and chalked it up to paranoia and manic depression...they refused to hear me and I have been to 5 different doctors... Some of the food changes are helping...the lemon water...the probiotics...but it is an up hill struggle... I refuse to give up and refuse to believe their diagnosis... Eventually, my hair started falling out quite a bit, I've developed horrible sinus and allergy problems, I got Shingles on my back at the age of 24, and I have recurring yeast infections. Boy, I'm painting a really attractive picture of myself, aren't I? My mom has had most of the same problems all her life, but she has insisted on treatments that simply deal with her symptoms. Instead, I started thinking that perhaps it was all connected. But every time I went to the doctor, all they treated were the symptoms, not the cause. I've had to educate myself on candida. And it's taken a lot out of me emotionally. I'm 27 years old, I look at myslef in the mirror and feel like I'm 100 years old sometimes. My hair is incredibly thin, I need way more sleep than anyone I know because I'm always tired, I have trouble concentrating (which doesn't help when you're a postgraduate student and you're constantly having to take tests),I am on a permanent sneezing state, and seeing what this disease is doing to me doesn't exactly help my anxiety levels. What kind of 24 year old gets Shingles anyway??? So I've decided that there is no way I'm going to let this little bacteria/fungus take the best out of me. I must say, it's incredibly potent for being so small... I want to have a normal life. I use a high quality, low potency (12ppm) small particle size, 5mls twice daily for 5 days works like a dream. I wouldn;t use it long term but for a short sharp shock its great. I feel this is preferable to prescription antibiotics and their side effects.
