Guest guest
Lorree,First, they should assess to see if he needs occupational therapy as a related service so that he can write. Then, he also needs an Assistive technology evaluation to determine if he needs technology support (keyboarding, speech to text, specialized writing implement, special software, etc) to progress in the general curriculum and benefit from his education. ( if he does, then they are required to provide it for him at no cost to you). He likely needs both OT support AND Assistive technology.Good luck!nna-- nna Bond, M.Ed., ATPSpecial Education ConsultantAutism SpecialistRESNA certified Assistive Technology Practitioner
