Sure, but don't get tooooooo excited because they're just talking about AIDS

patients and transplant recipients and folks who have suppressed immune systems

or who already had been diagnosed with asthma... lol.

As far as the federal government is concerned, a new policy went into effect

a few months ago that basically stopped all Federal rulemaking

by scientists or career government officials. (longterm civil servants) Its

a new policy and it is unlike anything any US administration ever did

before, as it basically politicizes all federal agencies on all scientific

issues, putting administration policy over everything else, (which tends to

be very pro corporate.)

The change is basically putting government officials in a state reminiscent

of the situation with the 'commissars' in the ex-USSR.

Now scientists or officials in all federal agencies have to get the sign-off

of

a commissar, In other words, a *political appointee* in each agency (who

often is not a scientist at all, usually they were appointed because of

their having a background in the industry that they would be regulating)

before issuing statements or rulemaking of any kind that has potential of

having an 'economic effect'. (And any announcements on mold causing illness

would definitely have an economic effect.)

So don't expect any changes on the national level until at the soonest the

beginning of 2009 (when the new administration elected in 2008 takes the

reigns of power)

Until then the fox is guarding the henhouse.
