Guest guest
Environment training offered for Shore volunteers Staff Report http://www.delmarvanow.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070612/NEWS03/70612031/1\ 002/NEWS01 SNOW HILL — RSVP of The Lower Eastern Shore, a 55 and older volunteer program sponsored by MAC Inc. and Worcester County Volunteer Services, has announced a new volunteer opportunity. The Environmental Protection Agency is partnering with RSVP to develop an Environmental Education Program on the Shore. The training will take place locally, and lunch will be provided. Volunteers will be provided with all the materials and handouts that will be used during the group presentations. Training and presentations will be done in simple layman’s terms. Volunteers will be able to choose specific training on topics of interest to them. Once trained, volunteers will then make presentations to civic and community groups. There are many environmental concerns right here on the Eastern Shore, and volunteers will be informed on some of the many things they can do to help address these concerns. Volunteers will be trained to educate the community so that we can all pitch in to protect the Eastern Shore for future generations. Volunteers of any age, who are interested in taking part in this program, should contact Wagner at 410-742-0505, Ext --------------------------------- We won't tell.
