Guest guest
Okay, Angel, my ears were burning with your mention of my name! Ozone´s Impact on Public Health: Contributions from Indoor Exposures to Ozone and Products of Ozone-Initiated Chemistry Environmental Health Perspectives October 2006 by J. Weschler http://www.ehponline.org/members/2006/9256/9256.html Some of the conclusions: Outdoor ozone is harmful to health; outdoor ozone transported indoors is harmful to health; indoor ozone reacts to form products that are also harmful to health, some perhaps more so than ozone. Can it be said anymore clearly? Also, ozone reacts to the d'limonene you mentioned to form some of the nastiest and persistent by- products. I have the study by Shaughnessy somewhere. I'll post it if I find it. In the meantime here is an 84 page report by the Consumer Product Safety Commission from October 2006: http://www.cpsc.gov/library/foia/foia07/pubcom/Ozone.pdf Carl Grimes Healthy Habitats. ----- > Hi Barb: > > There are SAFER alternatives to the dangerous pesticides and thats what > they should be using. Guest guest
Carl LOL I knoew you would remember about 03/d-limonene. Then again we have ALWAYS agreed on the hazards associated with 03. I am hoping that we don't have anyone on this list who is going to be stupid enough to try and promote 03 machines as has happened in the past! My entire beef is that hotels are poisoing people and they are not aware of it. I actually spoke to Dr. Shaussany about 2-3 weeks ago. He was in Finland and we had a conference call. Very interesting ocnversation to say the least.
Guest guest
I was considering staying at suites called Candlewood before the ones I stayed in and manager allowed me to do a 'mold plate' before they 'ran an ozone machine' in room. She told me that and then I didn't want to stay there. Ran the mold test anyway...just pretending to be still interested! > > Carl LOL > > I knoew you would remember about 03/d-limonene. Guest guest
Is d'limonene okay by itself but not ozone or is it to be avoided entirely. I assume you are talking about 'citrus cleansers'?? > > Carl LOL > > I knoew you would remember about 03/d-limonene. Guest guest
D-limone is also used as a pesticide. Do a goggle search on it's MSDS sheet and see the warnings.
