So I know this is a Texas group but I was hoping by chance someone may be familiar with special ed services in Arizona or know something about where they rank with Texas. Specifically the Chandler, AZ area. If anyone knows anything id greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

We lived in AZ for 3 years. They provide all services needed for children with autism that your insurance company doesn't cover through the DDD state agency. Call me for more information . You can also Google SARRC the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center to find out how to get started. How old is your child with autism?MaggieMaggieSender: Texas-Autism-Advocacy Date: Wed, 7 Mar 2012 18:52:39 -0600To: <Texas-Autism-Advocacy >ReplyTo: Texas-Autism-Advocacy Subject: special ed services in Arizona? he is 7 in first grade with aspergers/adhd and so far has received minimal supports here in our Houston Suburb. We may be moving to AZ if a job offer comes through which is why I am asking. Where in AZ did you live? I would be in the Chandler or Gilbert area.

Thanks!

We lived in Peoria, NW of Phoenix. I believe you need a diagnosis of autism by the age of 7 to have all services covered. Call SARRC for guidance on school services in Chandler or Gilbert.MaggieSender: Texas-Autism-Advocacy Date: Wed, 7 Mar 2012 19:05:19 -0600To: <Texas-Autism-Advocacy >ReplyTo: Texas-Autism-Advocacy Subject: Re: special ed services in Arizona? he is 7 in first grade with aspergers/adhd and so far has received minimal supports here in our Houston Suburb.
