Draft Trauma Rules/May EHCAC Meetings

Just wanted to let you all know that the draft trauma rules; Level

III and IV designation criteria, standards and audit filters; and the

draft System Evaluation Criteria are now on the Bureau's website

under " New Items " at:

They may be read or downloaded using Adobe Acrobat. The page

includes a link to send us input. Or you can bring your comments to

the Trauma Subcommittee meeting (details below).

The Trauma Subcommittee has been working with staff on revisions of

these rules and criteria for almost two years. The Subcommittee will

be reviewing the entire packet at their meeting on May 6, 1999 at

6:00 pm in the Board Room (7th floor, Morton Building) at 1100 W.

49th Street in Austin. They will vote on sending the packet to the

full Emergency Health Care Advisory Committee for their review and

vote at the August 1999 meeting. Per legislative requirements, we

will be taking the packet to the Board of Health sometime in Fall,

1999. Final adoption will then be in early 2000.
