Dave, you certainly have the right idea about insulin. I never achieved

any degree of control with pills. Tried diet alone and finally my

endocrinologist said I would have to take insulin. Hope you get to talk to

your doc and he tries you on insulin.

I think the main reasons most diabetics fight insulin are - 1. They think

that somehow having to take insulin means they're in the last stages of

diabetes. 2. Some cringe at the idea of giving themselves injections.

It becomes a part of your life style and I'm glad my doctor recommended

insulin.

Keep on keepin' on Barb! Sounds like you've got it nailed. Figuring how

it all works for us as an individual is the key to this sucker.
