Guest guest
Hi Gang....Got a question for you all......can stressing yourself out about something make your sugar readings go up temporarily ? Warren's sugar this morning was 123....and that concerned me a bit, cause for the last week its been between 88-107 . Now I didn't think too much of it UNTIL I took him his lunch and we tested his blood then, and it was 153...now thats high for him for a lunch time reading, so now I'm a little bit more concerned. He did cut down on his lunch though, just ate his sandwich and didn't eat his banana , trying to get the sugar down for tonight's dinner reading. Oh and I must mention that he hasn't been eating anything out of the ordinary yesterday, hasn't eaten too much...in fact his blood reading before dinner last night was only 88 !!! Before bedtime last night was 128. Its just today that we noticed it creeping up. The reason I ask about stress, is because we still haven't found out the results of his blood tests from Tuesday. I now have another call into the nurse to see if they are back yet. Warren never used to worry though if he didn't hear from the dr, he just said, that means things are fine...but today he specifically made sure to ask me to call them and ask for the test results so I know this is still worrying him. He's been worried ever since he had them taken on Tuesday.....and normally he doesn't fret about that. But...like I said these are the first tests done after he found out he was diabetic, and he's just very concerned about how this is affecting the kidney. But thats why I wanted to know..if he is worrying himself today, like I know he is....could this make the sugar go up some ? And to compensate should he be cutting down on his intake of food ? Thanks all... ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! Juno now offers FREE Internet Access! Try it today - there's no risk!
