Hello, I am new to this group and this is my first time to write. I am in the

process of throwing out almost everything and looking for another house because

of micotoxin illness. There are several wooden keepsakes I would love to keep.

Would 3 coats of shellac make them safe for me to take to my next house (this is

what I have been told), or must I lose them too? I am grieving for the loss of

my keepsakes, almost 70 years of them, so I am taking photos of those I can not

take with me. Also I have been told if I use a 50% ammonia soak and rinse plus

wash and rinse two more times my soild glass and solid metal things will be safe

for me to take with me. Is this correct? I want to avoid any

cross-contamination in the new house. Thank you for your remarks and any

suggestions. Rose
