Let's look in detail at who is holding this great conference for children's environmental health: 1. (PESHU) of Region 3..... Washington University Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit, GWU Co-director, Tee Guidotti 2. AOEC (Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics) funds the PESHU's, GWU Director, Tee Guidotti 3. ACOEM President, Tee Guidotti 4. Save a day for the 5th Annual Conference on Children's Health and the Environment. The conference is organized by the Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit (PESHU) of Region 3; the Mid-Atlantic Center for Children's Health and the Environment (MACCHE). MACCHE is a joint effort between the Washington University Medical Center and the Children's National Medical Center. The conference is targeted to health care providers, public healt professionals and the interested public. Topics will explore the intersection between the environment and child health issues and will include: - A discussion of possible environmental factors influencing autism - Environmental terrorism and preparedness in school settings - Environmental changes and it contribution to the obesity epidemic - Forecasting child health issues due to climate change - The how- to on greening your medical practice and home - Air pollution and compromised respiratory function - A presentation and discussion of case studies in pediatric environmental health Continuing education credits (CME, CHES & CEU ) will be available to participants.
