You may be talking about 2 different things here in regard to tremors and

vibrations. Many times when people have heart palpitations while they are

sitting or laying down it feels like the chair or bed is vibrating.

In early stage recovery from a mold exposure in the beginning it is nearly

impossible to tell what, where and when is causing them to remain sick. It

becomes nearly impossible to tell whether it is the new residence, or a slow

recovery or continued contamination from some source. As you already know this

is why it is recommended to not take any belongings with you. For if your

new environment is the problem you will not be able to tell whether it is your

belongings or your residence. Since you have no belongings with you, this

is not at issue. You are one step ahead of the game. And in a way it is like a

terrible awful twisted game trying to stay one step ahead of the mold.

As we go on to recover, some of us become like human Geiger counters with a

hypersensitivity to mold as well as to other chemicals. We then can usually

determine what and where has caused our symptoms to reoccur but this only

comes when we are healthy enough to tell what is making us sick! And it comes

at a great cost, both physically and financially. However, I love what

LiveSimply once said that puts this in a more positive light; It is our very

sensitivity to mold that is helping to save our life.

Once out of the moldy environment it will depend upon how severe the

exposure was and the length of time exposed as to how long it takes to begin to

feel

better. Some people feel better in a few days, many in a few weeks and some

a few months. It took me months before I began to feel better though I did

not know about CSM and or this message board. As far as getting sick again,

many of us will get sicker faster and more acute with each exposure.

It is a wonder that anyone remains sane in fighting this invisible enemy.

If you don't mind, I have a few more questions. How do you know if symptoms

such as tremors are due to continuing contamination, or to the spores or

mycotoxins inside your body? I know that when I feel the aerosol spray, it must

be from contaminated objects (like when I pick up something that had been on

the floor). But when it's tremors or feelings of vibration, what is that from?

For instance, sometimes I'll sit on a chair and feel vibration where I'm

sitting. Are there mold spores/mycotoxins on the chair? or is it in me?

'Oldy Moldy' - are you taking cholestyramine or seeing a doctor? Because you

should get to a doctor at the point you are at if its at all possible for

you.

At the stage you're at now, CSM can help clean that stuff out of you.

I guess you're saying that it's not just on the objects, but that it is inside

the body. I'm sorry to hear this.

What is the dosage of cholestyramine that you all take? I'm going to see if

one of my doctors can prescribe it. I'm unable to go out of town to the few docs

that many of you have talked about.

Dear Oldy,

The best thing would be for both of you to go to chronicneurotoxins.com and

each take the VCS test and then download the protocol from Dr. Shoemaker and

follow the instructions on his site w.r.t. getting your own doctor into the

loop. He would probably be glad to speak with your doctor and send them his

papers on cholestyramine and the other things he is doing to help mold

illness sufferers.

He's a very nice, and very smart guy.

If your doctor is a really good one, they will also prescribe a bunch of

tests (what Dr. Shoemakers describes as the Biotoxin Pathway tests) that

will evaluate a bunch of different parameters that are effected by mold

illness.

Don't make the mistake I did when I first saw it and think that the VCS test

is some kind of crackpot idea.. I know the web site isn't super slick

looking but the reality is that he has treated literally thousands of

patients, including many people here, and there is a large amount of science

behind the efficacy of the visual contrast sensitivity test for measuring

one very specific kind of functional impairment which is caused by biotoxins

and which changes with your exposure. Its been proven to show how your

treatment is progressing. (or if it isn't) which is very important to know.

Dr. Shoemaker is the gold standard when it comes to treating people with

mold illness. He's not the only doctor who does, but by almost all accounts

he's the best.

That means he gets results. He helps people get better. They feel as if they

get their money worth.

Thank you so much. We've looked at the site and we'll have to return to it and

take the test. I'll talk to my doc about it asap.

Have you also done testing of blood/urine for mold? Does Dr. Shoemaker do

that, too, or do you have to go through a different doc for that part? And, how

important is it to do that type of testing?

Thank you so much. It has been tremendously helpful to us to receive all this

support from such an amazing group!
