Guest guest
Hello, I have been dealing with a lot of health-related mold issues since relocating to a very humid part of the U.S. I am renting a townhouse that is just 2.5 years old, and after just 2 months here, I am getting sick from mold. The problem is in the dining room, just beneath one of the upstairs bathrooms. There was no caulking put around the bathtub, and I am thinking that maybe moisture has gotten into the space between the floor and the ceiling and caused a mold problem. I am looking to buy a home soon, and was wondering--are single-story homes less likely to develop mold problems? I have been looking at a ranch style home with a basement, and it seems that any moisture issues would be easier to detect and repair in a house that didn't have several floors. I'd appreciate hearing any thoughts on this. Destiny
