New treatment for neurodegenerative disease uses neural progenitor (i.e. 'stem cells') to rejuvenate existing, damaged cells.

I agree that parkinsons or maybe better said, dopamine disfunction is

not just caused by pesticides. while there could have been some

pesticides in my second house, I dont know, but I'd guess that

ochratoxins were the culprit. and now with mcs some perfumes can bring

on dopamine disfuntion and some other things, so obviously theres a few

things that could possibly lead to parkinsins or parkinsin type

symptoms.

Jeanine. I am in way over my head here and I am basically like you just

trying to grok things that

I don't understand out of desperation. I need to get better, my life is

dripping away and I am still

really struggling. Thats why I am reading all this stuff. I am desperate.

The recent work by V. Sava and J. -Ramos soon to be published in

Toxicological Sciences

shows another important part of the neuro picture and its an even more scary

one for me.

I had a very strong feeling on this hippocampal neurogenesis connection ever

since I read

that New York Times article a few months ago describing chemo brain. Being

able to use

stem cells - or something - reestablish connections would be the only thing

that would address

destruction of hippocampal neurogeneis. I think that the people with

hippocampal damage are the

ones with the most problems, Only time will tell me whether I am one of the

people who

recover or one of the people who don't. I have been sick for a very long

time and I am taking

forever to get better but I am probably better off than some of the other

people with mold illness.

But those people are probably not on the net and probably don't even have

access to care of any kind.

So I feel a major obligation to keep following up on this and sending emails

asking people to look at it

because I am still semi able to, unlike those others.

Even doctors don't usually realize how devastating these things can be to

people's lives.

IMHO when you get down to it, our brains are all we have that makes us

employable. It would still

cost billions of dollars to make a computer that equaled a human being on

many abstract tasks.

But that situation won't last indefinitely. We have to work as much as we

can and save up money

while we can.

(I really think its highly probable that we WON'T be able to play catch up

financially later.)
