Guest guest
In a message dated 00-01-31 21:02:39 EST, you write: << now, I was diagnosed a couple of months ago. Also about the alchohol swabs. I tell you that I have such a problem being hungry. And then I feel awful when I eat what isn't good for me. Then I beat myself up even more. >> , have you read Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solutions? (By Bernstein, M.D.) It's the best book, in my opinion, about diabetes both generally and specifically - and his focus is on low carbing. Now, I don't know how long you've been on this list, but if you've been lurking for even a while, you know that lots of us follow some version of low carbing. And that sticking with this can get rid of your food cravings ...but you have to get past the first week or so. You can do it -- many on this list can speak specifically to this issue and I'm sure they will. You already know how critical it is that you get your weight down and BGs down. We're here to support you. Don't worry about " whining " . Just concentrate on one thing at a time and stop beating yourself up if you fall off the wagon now and then. Just pick yourself up and climb back on. Vicki
