Shouldbinding,

When I was injecting weekly with 100 mg depo testosterone, I had my

total/free T measured 8th day after last injection.

You might consider having free and weakly bound testosterone (also called

bioavailable testosterone (bT)) run....I think this is much more sensitive

test than serum T and free T.

My PCP uses LabCorps...

http://www.labcorp.com/

" Use Free and weakly bound testosterone (FWBT), also referred to as

bioavailable testosterone, is thought to reflect an individual's

biologically active, circulating testosterone. FWBT includes free

testosterone and testosterone that is bound to albumin. FWBT does not

include sex hormone binding globulin-bound testosterone. The SHBG-bound

fraction is biologically inactive because of the high binding affinity of

SHBG for testosterone. The rapid dissociation of " weakly bound " testosterone

from albumin results in the availability of essentially all albumin-bound

testosterone for steroid-receptor interaction.1 "

I'll be starting injections in ~3-4 wks....

When I was injecting in '01...had T levels measured twice...

June 4th '01

.. . .Testosterone

.. . . . . .Total . . . . . . . . 989 (241 - 827)

.. . . . . Free. . . . . . . . .42.0 (6.6 - 18.1)

July 9th '01

.. . . . ..Total . . . . . . . . .774

.. . . . . Free. . . . . . . . . 38.8

When I begin again, I'm gonna play around with injecting ~0.3cc every 5 - 6

dys....given my high levels above.

Good luck,

Bloods should be taken every 3 months. Just before your next shot, then

again approximately 3 - 5 days later.

Can't say anything about the floaters, though I've had them for as long as I

can remember. I only experience tender nipples now after lyposuction.

and duaghter came to St to see me while on my buisiness trip.

they came right after I left the nasty Apt the Co. put me in. Not

short, I took all my stuff and a few beach towels that of course my

and the test almost came out normal. He is doing a culture so will

know more on Monday.

The strange thing is the last couple days I've been having

the same symptoms, but I know what mine are from. I know that i'm

positive for Tricothecenes plus a few more I'll know about next

Friday. Am I being paranoid or should I be worried?

Any thoughts??

What's HCG ?

Harry B.

New York

When to test?

OK, so I just started doing 250 IU of HCG per day as treatment for

secondary hypogonadism. I am self treating and don't have access to

injectable T so I am using ONLY hcg which I can get easily and cheaply.

My question is, when should I test for my T levels? I'm going to be

using the " privatemdlabs " and paying for it myself. Thus, obviously, I

can't exactly afford to keep going back every few weeks for more tests,

but I also want to be sure that I'm doing a proper dose and not over

doing it or under doing it.

So how long should I wait to do the first test?

Oh, and in looking at their tests, they have " testosterone, total " and

" testosterone, serum " what's the difference?

Thanks!
