Guest guest
I was browsing your website and read your story. Please don't buy a travel trailer, I bought a new one thinking I could get away from the mold. These things may be ok for healthy people but their death on wheels for us moldies. I bought a brand new one, it sat on the lot for almost a year before I bought it and had this mold growing on the underside of the floor. The below link describes the problem. http://geocities.com/antares4141/ Even ones that don't have mold soon will though, most manufactures are so confident of their products the only give them a 90 day warranty and void them if you live in them. They wouldn't honor the two year warranty on the floor because I was living inside of it and mold isn't harmful to people. There's no money in it for lawyers so I'm stuck with a new trailer that is practically worthless. To me anyways. Guest guest
Also, don't forget that if you 'go on the road' and give up your physical home, you don't have an address and then you might not be able to register to vote where you are. Legislators certainly won't listen to you if you don't live in their district, meaning, you don't have a physical address there. I don't think many people realize how important that physical presence is.
Guest guest
Oh my gosh! I swear it is to the point I have to question if us moldies are safe in any indoor environment. We lived in our tent for 5 weeks while traveling to Colorado, and we all felt better then, than we have in years. Now that we are in a house again, we all are getting sicker again, especially me. Today I am feeling worse than I have in a long time. Body aches all over and the brain fog is so severe, I cannot think, or concentrate on anything. I looked at the picks on your page. Unreal! I wonder if this is true with all travel trailers, or if different makers make a better trailer. I also wonder if an RV would be any better. At this point I question if we should buy an RV and pack a tent along, and for the most part live in the tent with the RV there for cooking, bathing, etc, as well as a way to be able to stay in RV parks for extended periods of time, since you are only allowed to tent camp for two weeks at a time. At this point, I have to ask... What are we all to do? Is there a safe home that can be built? Dan and I have some good ideas on how to build a safe house, but it will be so costly, that a tiny house will cost about as much as a big house built with the cheap materials. It's really not just the materials though, I would want to make sure no rain was able to touch any part of the building material during building. Geez, then you have to worry about what was left in the weather at the lumber yard too. I have such high hopes for being able to build a " mold free community " and help to save others from the hell they are living in, I just don't understand why these big TV talk show host don't want nothing to do with helping us all. They would rather do shows on " How to hook the guy of your dreams " , or " I need to loose 50 pounds " , I know those came out of my head, but you getthe idea. Sorry for rambling, and hope my ramblings made at least a little sense, LOL Thanks for sharing these photos too. I'd be interested in putting them and especially your trailer story on our web site if you don't mind. Just let us know. Guest guest
Your welcome for the pics. I really don't think their are any safe rv's. Airstreams are built well but the metal is a problem. If the air heats up faster than the metal than condensate can form inside the wall cavity's and thier is no way to examin them. Maybe an uper end motorhome, in exess of 100,000. Most of your common travel trailers, coachman, forest hill and the like are problems just waiting to happen. They insist you have to maintain them by caulking them. But you can't do this unless you find a seam that's separating, and if you've done this it's already too late. You can't look for mold behind walls without destroying them. My situation is a lot easier than yours in that I am by myself. So I rented out a room in a new house. (went to roommatefinder & craigslist.com) I posted here about my success doing this. After ten years of poor choices and miserable outcomes I seem to be doing very well. I wouldint say I am cured but all of my major symptoms have dropped sharply. It feels like I am cured compared to where I came from. The trailer is just a small part of my story, my opinions on this illness vary quite a bit from most in this group. I blame my illness on pesticides, but know I react profoundly to mold. I am deathly alergic to it. I would be happy to share my story on your site. I am just glad I took the time to read a portion of your page. I would hate for anyone to make the mistake I made buying a travel trailer. i, 27 Jul 2007 16:02:06 -0600, you wrote: > >Oh my gosh! Guest guest
Thanks for the thoughts and concerns on that issue, but we are members of several groups including some RV groups that have full timers in them. They do establish a legal physical address to which all their mail goes and they show as residents. You become a tax paying citizen of that county and I believe are thereby qualified for representation. In todays society it is hard to just " Disappear " , someone always wants to know where you are... :-) Dan Dan & Carmella Also, don't forget that if you 'go on the road' and give up your physical home, you don't have an address and then you might not be able to register to vote where you are.
