Guest guest
You are totally right. There are so many insanities.. Why are they paid more the sicker we are? Thats a big one right there! Why do perfectly good drugs and therapies get ignored because they are too cheap or too safe. (and hence, not profitable enough) Another one, It seems absolutely insane to tie people's healthcare funding to their jobs, because that basically guarantees that if they get really sick, they will lose their ability to pay for healthcare and everything they own of value will be taken by the banks. (More than 50% of all bankruptcies now are caused by a cascade of events initiated by medical problems) It also seems absolutely insane to give health 'insurance' companies one third of every healthcare dollar the way we do. That's 33 cents out of every dollar that could go to better healthcare is going to fund some health insurance company's profits. Also, it seems crazy the way the citizens of the US are being asked to subsidize drug research for the whole world. We pay so much more than other countries, and they get the same drugs. The companies use our money to open labs (often in other countries) to do research and then they atent those drugs all over the world and we pay MORE even though MOST of the money came from Americans to pay for that research. (because other countries pay far less for drugs) Are we stupid or what?
