Guest guest
Hi friends! - this is a re-send with updated info throughout - check it out! Ort of APCO International will make the official announcement and provide details soon but I wanted to keep you informed (as promised) about the progress of our Console meet and greet in Boston. We are just 36 days away from APCO 2000 in BOSTON! The console and pstc911 egroups will have an informal get together Sunday night before the conference. It will be scheduled at one of the host hotels/conference locations and there will be NO cost to anyone attending. Guests are welcome and it will not conflict with anything planned by the APCO 2000 Team. For those not arriving until the day after, I'm sure we'll put together something for MANAPCO also! The console and the blues borthers theme...hmmm what can we think up...??? The goal is to get everyone to meet each other and attach faces to screen names and to network. You'll get a chance to make friends before the conference so that we can have an enjoyable week with our new contacts and pals. If splinter groups want to then make dinner plans or gather at other un-official or official APCO events (such as MANAPCO or the Closing Ceremonies) we will have plenty of time to make those connections and plans at that time. My thanks to Ken at the console and all of you that made suggestions for our union of friends and professionals. will explain the details and is working on some fun ideas. Thanks to her and APCO for helping to make this all a reality! Check out the apco2000.org web site for updates on the conference and MANAPCO. They have posted the MANAPCO theme and menu. Looks yummy and fun, bring your cameras! LAST but not least...how about a bright sticker for our conference NAME TAGS that say Console Member and then room for your to write your e-mail or screen name, you can plaster it on your conference name tag and we can identify each other for the entire conference.... if you like the idea, let me know and PSTC will sponsor the cost of printing a roll of stickers. Thanks everyone - ps- console members, join our pstc911 e-group if you are involved in the 911 profession and would like to be part of our training resource network! - shameless plug, i know -
