thanks Val. . I have read everything I could find on this but spouse

doesn't have thyroid cancer, has Hypothryoidism and doctor didnt

test the Thyroglobulin antibodies, just the serum.

So, my question is even if his thyroglobulin antibodies turn out

high also, does that just confirm his Hypothyroid condition or does

it mean we should be looking for something else too?

Thanks Val. . .hope you continue to do well as do I.

Testing for antibodies is kind of redundant I think. MOST peopel with

hypothyroidism will have Hashi's antibodies show up sooner or later. I

htink it is about 80% and I really dont; care WHY I am hypo, as long as

I can fix it! LOL

Val, I'm not sure I'm following you on this, so help me here: are

you saying that even the thyroglobulin antibodies, which are

probably causing the thryoglobulin serum levels to be high in my

spouse, mean that he ultimately will have Hashis even though right

now he appears to not have TPO antibodies that are the clear marker

for Hashis?

Please clarify as I am not sure i'm following.

Thank you.

This is thebest explanaiton i have found. I htink if i had high TgAb

testign I would be asking abou a scan of the thyroid to see if there is

anything else going on.
