Guest guest
hello all, I need to move out of this mold pit, but how can i make sure i dont move into a worse situation. Im looking to rent a house not buy. one house i looked at , had a musty smell in the basement, my mom was with me and said , oh that is just 'basement' smell. I told her , no it shouldnt smell like that at all. Its frustrating, because out of everyone in my current home, it seems it affects me the most. I live on the third floor, we have a leaky roof, and my one room smells musty. I slept in that room last nite because it has the AC, and woke up coughing, a bit congested. I also have this chest pain, feels like bone pain/rib pain, hurts to press....ive had it for a month now. I think i also have lyme going on so its so tough to tell what is what. I have high c4a and c3a........ any adivce on what type of house i should be looking at, are there any that could be less moldy? thanks
Guest guest
What a dilemma. We are all in this situation and there isn't an easy answer for you, I'm afraid. Pray.

Guest guest
One of the other posts on the list recommends getting a short term roomate situation there to see how a place works out, that way you are not committed to staying for a year or six months and can leave with less problems if a place looks as if it is okay but then turns out to be not. For people who are considering an apartment building, it doesn't hurt to ask potential neighbors whether there are mold problems and how well the building is maintained. Just ring doorbells in the early evening. Some warning signs.. people who look very ill - even if they won;t admit they are sick or don't know why.. I think that the chances of sick people in a sick building figuring out the cause, especially if it is mold, is low. The media is so saturated with messages that obfuscate the situation.
