Guest guest
>in accordance to federal labor laws (these laws do not apply to sworn officers). Oh but they do..... Not the 80 hrs in two weeks, a different time line, but FLSA does include Enforcement personnel. Weintraut
Guest guest
Hi, I am new to dispatch, almost 2 months. Before that I worked in the detention center for 10 years. We have been working 12 hour shifts for the last 2 years and " most " everyone likes working 12 hour shifts. We work 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am for 2 days then 2 off, that way they get every other weekend off and it gives you a break for a couple of days to regroup. Hope this helps. > >Reply-To: 911consoleegroups >To: <911consoleegroups> >Subject: 911:: 12 hour schedule >Date: Sat, 29 Jul 2000 19:48:44 -0400 > >Hello, > >I have been receiving your posts all week and have enjoyed them greatly. Guest guest
We have a 12 hour schedule with a 3 day week-end off every other week. But this equals 84 hours per pay period. It gives you more dispatchers per shift and having worked all kinds of shift-work I think it is the best schedule ther is. You still have a life. My dispatchers love it and say they will quit if we go to anything else. If you have enough positions you could modify the schedule to keep from scheduling the 4 hours over-time.
