Just in case there is anyone out there that hasn't already seen this and is in

region 17.

Region 17's Annual Autism Conference

In collaboration with the Burkhart Center

Date: June 6th & 7th, 2012

This is a two-day conference on Autism Spectrum Disorders which will feature

peer-reviewed, research-based strategies for use in the home and school

environments. Well-respected, nationally and locally known speakers will cover

topics of interest including: behavior, social skills, communication, sensory

issues, transition and various others. Participants will be provided with

current research and applicable, hands-on strategies. All Region 17 parents of

school-aged individuals with an ASD who are wishing to attend should contact

Barbara s at for instructions on how to register.

Carol Gray, The Gray Center for Social Learning and Understanding and Consultant

to Children and Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other Social

Communication Challenges

Carol Gray is a consultant, speaker, and author serving people with autism

spectrum disorders (ASD) and those who work on their behalf. She is best known

for developing Social Stories™ and her groundbreaking work on bullying, loss and

learning, and the habits of effective educators. Carol is the recipient of the

Barbara Lipinski award for her international contributions to the education and

welfare of children with ASD.
