Google the words " number of cells in the human body " and you get

almost as many hits as there are cells in the human body. One says

" the number of cells in a human body can be approximated to ... one

hundred trillion cells. "

Then then the one below says the cells are only 1/20 of the microbes.

All Things Considered, July 1, 2006 · The human body contains 20

times more microbes than it does cells. In fact, a visitor from outer

space might think the human race is just one big chain of microbe

hotels.
