Guest guest
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TOXIC MOLD The tenth anniversary of the " official " recognition of toxic mold just passed. The famous, or infamous, " Cleveland infants " incident. Here is a link to the 1997 National Institute of Health press release. http://www.niehs.nih.gov/oc/news/mold.html I particularly got a kick out of their statement, written in scientist talk, that they intend to " blow smoke " into the faces of the mice that they are experimenting on, to see if they can get the same bleeding in the lungs of mice that they intend to expose to mold, on their theory that second-hand smoke is necessary to make mold exposure toxic. Most older professional medical journals have a section where they reprint articles that they printed 100 years ago. These articles give the scientists and doctors a good laugh. Read the article that this link connects to, and decide, for yourself, whether you should have a good laugh, or a good cry, based on what you consider our progress has been, in the last ten years.
