Guest guest
Barb,I do know that wiyh alcoholic disease the omentum enlarges and thats what makes alcoholics stomachs get large. I've read that with healthy livers the liver changes the chemistry of toxins, so thinking that with healthy liver doing its job there would be no toxins soaked into the omentum.? I get the felling that its the liver damage that than leads to omentum growth. and read that the colesteral granulomas are absorbed into the blood stream from the omentum, than causeing plaque build up. maybe the omentums purpose is to soak in toxins that make it past the liver to protect the colon? I remeber reading something about the omentum awhile back that said the toxins that are absorbed into the omentum are sent back through the liver. my exposure started while I was healthy and I had dierhia through out which got much worse in the second home with much higher amounts of many toxic molds, voc's and probably bacterias with the moisture being a big factor there. this is when my liver started hurting and food allergies,mcs/chemical intolerance happened and I do believe this is also when my immune system crashed. through out my exposure I lost weight. I read or heard somewhere that haveing no fat to store toxins causes the liver to have to work harder and I had little or no fat to store toxins when I moved into this second home. I know for a fact that molds/myco's can affect people who are already ill much faster, see it happen with my own eyes in this second home. anyway, I dont know what would happrn if the omentum was removed, and wonder what would happen to someone who had that done with gastric bypass if they were than exposed to a moldy enviroment. I know my digestive tract has suffered alot and wonder if it would have suffered even more if I had no omentum. so maybe those who say theres no known risk to haveing it removed are just ignorant.? wonder if any peopled were fallowed up on after removel to see.
