Guest guest
Elvira - THAT's the problem with multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS) that can be brought on by mold and mycotoxin exposure. The immune system gets overwhelmed and then reacts adversely to EVERYTHING for some people. Could be the air conditioner, could be off-gassing from the chemicals in the new carpet, could be a million things once a person's immune system has been over-run and then becomes hyper-vigilant to fragrances and chemicals that don't bother others in the slightest. That becomes a problem with 'testing' - you can't know what one person is going to react to once MCS has been activated - safe levels for most people can throw an MCS person on their back for a week. There are a HUGE number of folks on the list who have MCS. Mercifully, that's one I've been spared... I only have to contend with the brain and kidney damage from my exposure for the most part - lol. I've got it easy compared to so many. What nearly killed me was hemorrhaging - my blood is kept artifically thin because I have an artificial heart valve (so it won't clot and give me strokes or a heart attack). When I lived in the building that killed my neighbor from Trichothecene mycotoxicosis, I had three bleeding incidents that required hospital attention - the last one caused me to lose roughly have my blood volume to internal bleeding post-surgically. But I LIVED, so I'm a lucky one. If your grandson is having reactions to his environment, chances are you'll have to have that documented medically before the school will address it. I know it's NOT NEWS to you that everyone just wants to call us crazy. lol. Damn this stuff gets old - trying to fight the fight to just have the fight to begin with - none of us have the energy to fight... If I can help with anything, let me know. ~Haley sister sister <maatqueen@...> wrote: Just wondering can it be also Toxic Air-condition like the NEW School my Grandson goes to? the toxin are so bad I can't go near that school try getting them to test the AC as well my opinion. Guest guest
Haley, Very good description on MCS. I have made my comments a number of times before but the bottom line is that even when the best doctor in the world explains this directly to the face of those who you might have thought are close to you it makes no difference. They just don't get it. The only way to combat this is kind of childish but get in a small room with some of these people and release some god awful smells emite from your body. Then ask, what? I don't understand what your complaining about. Hardly relivent but its funny. Although the typical responce is " smart ass " No pun intended... Guest guest
Haley, Haley thank you but if you know my story started as far as I know I lived in mold and a activist antiwar. teach the poor how to help themselves I went into two poor areas in Miami The March for justice, oralmarjority the freedom bus ride from hell. protested for a man I never voted for and as for as I no, well that a different story. Opinions don't come free it comes with a price mine is heavy I was injusted with this same toxin while in the hospital with Asthma. taken aganist my well I call it kidnapping some say kidnapping it's not a good word to use, I feel it is because it's what happen to me. they also spread Toxins throu my window I had to jump in the shower fast it burn my skin and I couldn't see, 8 doctors had to look at my eye's. Toxin is in the report it has a smell also I can't keep food down depending on how bad it is. my family was torn apart and worse than trusting a stranger because of all this. it's better to be sold by and unknown than someone you so love. and that goes for Children in this world today children are raising children and the Preants act more like the child. You don't get MCS over night it's over time, in the case of the School it's the air-condition and what ever being spread on the Grass. West Port Middle & High I always tell people don't take my word investigate I also agree with you. it does put me on my back for days some time and I have a hard time walking again depends. 1.the last one caused me to lose roughly have my blood volume to internal bleeding post-surgically. But I LIVED, so I'm a lucky one. I know this feeling to well I have to go but oh how I feel you and thinkful.....................that you are here to tell your story many don't know what's making them ill. Peace Thank You Thank You Elvira Haley <myhaze@...> wrote: Elvira - THAT's the problem with multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS) that can be brought on by mold and mycotoxin exposure. Guest guest
I am not going to elaborate much but I am very suspicious of ac units now days. I am even more suspicious of new air conditioning systems. I don't know about schools and public buildings but in homes I am told it is now standard to not only use flex duct but the rest of it is this foldable fiberglass stuff covered in foil. The thought of this makes me wonder many things. 1. this seems to be a great product to catch, trap and breed anything going through the duct work (not even a question about this flex duct joke) and many other questions. When I asked about this I was told that the inside of the ductwork was coated with some sort of antimicrobial coating that keeps the duct work safe. Ok, so am I incredibly insane to think this is a recipie for disaster? What in gods name can be sprayed on fiberglass that will keep things from being cought in it? Especially over time. But beyond that what is this miricle spray they are useing? What is it made of? What about the MSC people and these chemicals they are useing. The list of questions go on and on and are very specific but I will stip here and let the rest of you comment on this subject...
