ENDURANCE UNDER PRESSIURE

" Endurance under pressure. " It sounds like something

athletes go through when they’re running a marathon.

That’s one interpretation of the phrase. Another

interpretation is what we go through each day dealing with

diabetes in our lives. Living with diabetes isn’t easy.

The testing, the measuring, the scheduling and everything

else that goes along with a diabetes management plan

can bring stress and frustration into each day. It’s

something to endure. Don’t endure with a pessimistic

attitude. Endure with an attitude that you will win

and reach the goal. The goal may be to have good blood

glucose levels for today….just today. Start over

tomorrow with the same goal and do the same for each

day after that.

Endurance isn’t always measured in how far you can run

or how much you can lift. It’s also measured in how

long you keep striving….no matter what the goal is.

Thanks, Belver for that inspirational bit about endurance. I've copied

it to Works to print and keep for myself, friends and posterity -- esp

great neices . (When they grow up enough to understand it . I.e. beyond

the teen years.)
