Guest guest
How about common laryngitis??? I'd explore that first. *hugs* and love Mitch..... Hoarse Voice >Has anybody experienced or heard of voice hoarseness and/or vocal cord paralysis due to Chiari? I have trouble with my voice becoming hoarse, on and off, and it is getting worse. I found a Medline document that reports of a 44-year-old woman that had vocal cord paralysis due to Chiari. She also had shortness of breath, like I reported having myself here a few weeks ago, and it was because of the vocal cord paralysis. She ended up with a tracheotomy until six weeks after her decompression! > > >------------------------------------------------------------------------ >

It has never returned to normal and I still have weird days that it comes and goes. People are constantly asking me if I have laryngitis. Guest guest
There are days when I have literally no voice, or it's really gravelly, and I can't seem to connect it with any allergies. I do have allergies, but they seem to hit at a different time, and don't usually bother my throat. Interesting question. Guest guest
also has a very deep voice. I wondered by the ENT told me he did not want to remove his 4+ tonsils. He said he was concerned it would affect his voice. Do any of you know how it would affect his voice. Guest guest
Hello, Sometimes loses her voice for a period of time, when she is having trouble with her throat " clamping shut " . There are times when her voice changes a little after going through this for awhile. She knows when it's about to happen, now, and she knows that (for her) she needs her soft collor, on, and she must really pay attention to how she moves her neck, or it will surely cut off her air. I know that (sadly), these symptoms are pretty familar with some of you. I always wonder if there is , once again, pressure, on the brainstem, or if it is just damage. Hopefully after her new MRIs we'll know something. Terry ------------------------------------------------------------------------
