Guest guest
I have been trying to find someone who could do speech/language therapy for my son with autism. My son is on a waiting list at the Harry Jersig Center run by Our Lady of the Lake University in San . What they tell me is that no longer will Medicaid or Medicare pay for their work because they train students who will become speech therapists and these students are supervised by certified speech therapists. Medicaid and Medicare will not pay unless the work is done by actually certified speech/language therapists. This decision is new and is within the last year. The association these certified people belong to is trying to get that federal rule reversed. Martha
