Guest guest
Hi All, I am a newbie here and was sent over by the lovely people from the real thyroid help site. Here are my recent labs: Thyroglobulin Antibodies, 320 H, range = <20 IU/ml Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies, 25, range = <35 IU/ml T4 Free, 1.0, range = 0.8-1.8 ng/dL T3 Free, 242, range = 230-420 pg/dL Reverse T3, 28, range = 11-32 ng/dL Could someone explain to me how to treat RT3 and what the protocol is? I am not on any medications yet and I am waiting for my corisol test results so I can start Cortef. However, can I take Cytomel and Cortef at the same time? When could I add Cytomel to Cortef, if I can? How long will I have to take Cytomel before I can start Armour? Also, what is Cytomel? Is it animal derived like Armour? Oh boy, do I feel discouraged I don't know how I am ever going to find a doc that will put me on Cortef, Cytomel and Armour. I feel doomed. Thanks so much for your help. P.S. Can anyone recommed any books on the RT3 problem. I still don't really understand it.
