seeking safe housing on peninsula in bay area

Hello,

I have not visited this group in a long time. My main symptom from

Mold Illness these past 5 years is a very easily fatigued brain --

and consequent brain pain -- which takes a full day of rest to

subside. So I spend as little time on the computer as I can;

reading the computer screen and reading books are the 2 most

difficult tasks for me.

I'm writing because I'm having trouble finding safe housing. I

moved out of San Francisco to be closer to some classes that I'm

taking in Redwood City, and the first apt. I moved to is causing me

problems. It has a hardwood floor, which I thought would be good

for sensitivities, but it turns out that I am SO mold sensitive now,

that I don't think I can live on hardwood. Especially hardwood over

a dirt foundation, which is typical here.

I'm trying to find concrete (I lived in a substandard apt. in San

Francisco, which was a converted garage, and it had concrete floors

with linoleum squares on top -- I had no idea, how fortunate I was,

to be living on concrete for 14 months!). Besides concrete, I'm

also trying to find ceramic tiling, or at the very least a concrete

slab foundation beneath the house. The dirt foundations are full of

moisture and molds which I can't tolerate.

Whole Foods had a stained concrete floor in all their stores that

I've been to -- I wish the landlords would follow suit. I haven't

found a single concrete floor living situation.

I did find one expensive apt. in San , with ceramic tiling

throughout. Way too far away. I can't afford a car.

I also found a roommate situation with ceramic tiling in the room

for rent in Los Altos -- very far from the downtown, I couldn't do

it without a car.

Does anyone have any resources to recommend, that might help me find

safe housing around here?

Best wishes to all,

Sue
