Guest guest
Hi le, I live in Pasadena, 15 minutes from downtown L.A. and my advice to you is to look for a newer building, almost all the olser buildings in this area are contaminated with mold. I have hardwood floors and all the wood is contaminated. I thought if I removed the carpet it would make things a little better but it actually made it worse. Make sure, if you can to find out about any leaks even in the newer buildings and especially if you live on the first flor of a building because the unit above maybe leaking into the first floor unit. Just be careful and cautious, good luck Dana --- In , " le " <danielletoile@...> wrote: > > Hi Everyone, > > My toxic mold exposure began when I lived in Berkeley and the landlord > (aka slumlord)didn't fix the roof. Guest guest
Go back and read my reply to that same post: " seeking safe housing on peninsula in bay area " I went to craigs list and found a homeowner with a new home willing to rent out a room. It's got it's drawbacks but it's worked really well for me. I forgot to mention in that post that the reason why I don't think the wood floors where I am staying are a problem is because they are on a cement slab. Where I would highly discourage wood floors is when the house is built above the ground with a crawl space underneath. >Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. >Thanks and best wishes. > >le
